Chengjia Shang, born in October 1963, is the chief scientist and professor of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Steel Technology of University of Science and Technology Beijing. He was elected as Professional Fellow of IOMMM, UK, in 2017. His interest is in high-performance steel for marine engineering, oil and gas drilling, storage and transportation, bridge and other infrastructural applications. He is currently Executive Director of Council Member and Secretary-General of the Materials Science Branch of the China Institute of Metals, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the China Institute of Metals, Deputy President of Corrosion and Degeneration Division, Society of Automotive Engineers of China Director of the China Society for Materials Research.
